NIPENT (pentostatin for injection)
Pentostatin is used to treat hairy cell leukemia.
Nipent (pentostatin) is commonly used to treat certain people with hairy cell leukemia (HCL), which is a type of blood cancer. Nipent may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider
Pentostatin is used to treat hairy cell leukemia. It is given by intravenous infusion once every two weeks for three to six months. Additionally, pentostatin has been used to treat steroid-refractory acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease. Pentostatin is also used in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients who have relapsed.

Active ingredient: pentostatin
NIPENT™ (pentostatin for injection) is supplied as a sterile, apyrogenic, lyophilized powder in single-dose vials for intravenous administration. Each vial contains 10 mg of pentostatin and 50 mg of Mannitol, USP. The pH of the final product is maintained between 7.0 and 8.5 by addition of sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid.
