FARYDAK (panobinostat) capsules
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted accelerated approval of panobinostat (Farydak) for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma whose cancer has progressed after treatment with at least two prior standard therapies.
FARYDAK, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone, is indicated for the treatment of patients with multiple
myeloma who have received at least 2 prior regimens, including bortezomib and an immunomodulatory agent. This indication is approved under accelerated approval based on progression free survival.
Panobinostat is used in combination with the anti-cancer drug bortezomib and the corticoid dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma in adults who had received at least two previous treatments, including bortezomib and an immunomodulatory agent.
