LYSODREN (mitotane) tablets
Mitotane, sold under the brand name Lysodren, is a steroidogenesis inhibitor and cytostatic antineoplastic medication which is used in the treatment of adrenocortical carcinoma and Cushing's syndrome.
Lysodren is used to treat the symptoms of advanced adrenal cortical carcinoma (cancer of the outer layer of the adrenal gland). It is used when the cancer is unresectable (cannot be removed by surgery), is metastatic (has spread to other parts of the body), or has relapsed (returned after treatment). LYSODREN is an adrenal cytotoxic agent indicated for the treatment of inoperable, functional or nonfunctional, adrenal cortical carcinoma.
Mitotane, is a steroidogenesis inhibitor and cytostatic antineoplastic medication which is used in the treatment of adrenocortical carcinoma and Cushing’s syndrome.
